Caitlyn & Dagny
Caitlyn Shamrock
Caitlyn Shamrock grew up in Cologne. In her family, Caitlyn was the kid telling the wildest stories. She often lived more in a fantasy realm than in the real world. No wonder her grandma nicknamed her “my little dreamer.” But Caitlyn knew the magical world was real. She had a fox for a best friend and even stumbled upon a secret fairy forest once.
When she learned to read, new worlds opened their gates, and Caitlyn would’ve happily moved into the library. Sadly, that wasn’t an option. So she carried armfuls of books home every week.
After high school, Caitlyn dreamed of becoming a writer, but her parents tore her back to reality. So, she studied law and became an advocate. After a few years slogging through family law, she decided it made way more sense to play matchmaker for imaginary couples than to help real ones navigate divorce.
Now, Caitlyn lives with her family half an hour outside Cologne. When she’s not making music or writing, she’s at the mercy of two free-roaming bunnies who rule her house with an iron paw.
Dagny Fisher
Dagny Fisher comes from the southern part of Germany. She grew up in a small town full of mysterious spots: a crumbling monastery with a hidden passageway, a stream trickling beneath the street, a Roman tower tucked in the woods, and an overgrown garden behind a towering wall. No wonder she loved magic and adventure as a kid!
Dagny’s been telling stories forever. First, she scribbled stories about tiny, orphaned apples and monkey revolutions with crayons. Later, she filled school notebooks with adventure stories. And by 17, she was writing her first fantasy novel on an ancient Atari.
She tried studying ecology, but then she went to Ireland with her friends and never looked back. That land, with its spellbinding lore, hooked her for good. So, after she earned her degree, she dove back into writing. She published books with German publishers like Arena, Egmont INK, and Audible. Now she’s taking the leap into self-publishing.
Nowadays, Dagny lives with her husband, kids, and dog in another tiny town full of mysterious spots like an old quarry filled with tadpoles, a Roman fort in the fields, abandoned bunkers, and a forest full of hollows.
